Why the electronic gods hate me - part 1
2003-03-10 - 11:40 a.m.
So, yesterday was 70+ degrees out. It was the most beautiful day we've had this year so far, bar none. So what did I do? I spent the day inside studying for my midterm. That's not entirely true. I did have breakfast outside, went for a nice long walk at the park in the morning, and have dinner outside as well. But otherwise, I was studying electronic transition moments for the midterm that was scheduled to be in class this morning. So we get to class, and the professor tells us that the exam will be take home, and that it's due on Wednesday. Umm... what? He says it's no sweat, just like another homework set (well, except for the fact that we only have 2 days instead of 9, we can't work together, and it's worth like 30 times more than any single homework assignment). The good news is that we already had the problems - they were the last page of the notes set that was on-line, and we talked about some of the problems and figured out how to do them in anticipation of the topic being on the test, even though we didn't have any homework on it yet. So at least that's good. I have more electronic woes to tell you about. Maybe I'll get into them later or tomorrow or something....
