Divine secrets of a YaYa Sleepy-Head

I'm sleepy today.

I guess it's my own stupid fault. At 10:00 I was off the phone and about ready for bed. Sure, I had to wash up and that good stuff, but that doesn't take very long. So I did, and was ready to enter a peaceful slumber, when I decided to do some reading.

I don't think I mentioned it, but I'm currently reading Divine Secrets of the YaYa Sisterhood. I figured I'd read the book before renting the movie (although, renting the movie won't do me much good at this juncture).

Anyway, I hit one of those points where you just can't put the book down until about 75 things resolve. I wound up being up until after 1 a.m. reading the blasted thing! I kept on bargaining with myself

~Okay, Malina, you can read just one more chapter, but then it's lights out, got it?

~Yes ma'am

(I finish the chapter)

~But can I read just one more, oh please, can I?

~sigh... I suppose....

It was rather amusing, actually.

So I stayed up reading, and I think it was worth it. If you haven't read it yet, I highly recommend it. It's an amazing book! And since there are very few books that I find to be can't-put-it-down amazing, you know that says a lot!

But anyway, I'm pretty sleepy today as a result, despite the fact that I let myself sleep in a bit late (ah, the making of one's own hours is both a blessing and a curse....)
