A whole new ME

2003-04-07 - 9:18 a.m.

I have chin length hair.

I was going to wait to tell people, but I figure that I won't see most of you for at least 6 or so weeks, probably more, so there would be no time for shock.

It looks good. I was really, REALLY nervous, but I really, REALLY like it. :-). The lady at coffee place downstairs told me I look like I should be in the tenth grade. I don't think I look 15, but whatever, I'll take it. I have only received positive feedback, and I don't think my boss recognized me, which I think is very funny.

I also tried to make it blonde, but it didn't take very well. I bought a bottle of permanent dye, but I wimped out. So I used a Natural Instincts. It was supposed to make my hair lighter than it did, but I did use a dark red in February, and they tell you to wait 3 months between full head dye jobs. So it's sort of a light orange now instead of a blonde. It looks good, but not quite what I had in mind.

I also got new glasses. They're lavender, and sort of geeky/homely looking. Sort of a cat-eye shape, but not too much. They're the sort of thing you'd see one of the Omega Mu chicks in Revenge of the Nerds wear. I keep on telling myself that they're so square they're actually hip, especially with the new hair. But I could just be lying to myself. Either way, I really like them.

Happy, yet sad news - my best friend in this state is defending her thesis today. That means that in less than a month she graduates, and then moves 1000 miles away. I'm going to suffer from withdrawal. Sure, I have a standing invitation to visit her and her fiance in Indiana, but I'm still sad.

Oh, and what is with your crazy weather up north? SNOW??? That's nuts. This is why everybody needs to live in Atlanta :-)
