So Friday night it poured! Not a simple little drizzle, all sweet and innocent. Nosiree, these were pellets of rain that were cold and hurt when they hit you.

Conveniently, I was wearing a white tank top and an unlined bra.

In all fairness, Becky's friend Chris did offer me his windbreaker in a very gentlemanly sort of fashion, but I refused. I didn't see any reason why he should have to get all wet and cold because I didn't have the foresight to pack a jacket.

He admitted later that the push behind the offer was so that I didn't expose myself to thousands of people. It didn't occur to me that the windbreaker would also be a sight shield.

Luckily, most people were too busy trying to figure out how to keep themselves dry and stay with their compadres than to stare at the outline of my breasts. There were two guys who were more than a little bit excited to see me. They pointed me out, cheered for me and thanked me. I rolled my eyes and laughed. I guess I could have gotten offended, but why? At that point it really didn't matter, it was all just too funny.

Unfortunately, it meant that they closed the festival that night - but only temporarily. Unfortunately, by the time they reopened it I was home, showered, and curled up in my ankle length fleece bathrobe.

The part that sucked was that we sat through all of stupid Cracker and when Sheryl Crow came on she only got about 3 or 4 songs in before they shuffled her off the stage. They reopened it for Bob Dillon, but I wasn't there for that.

Saturday night all I saw was Crosby, Stills and Nash. I wanted to see Leftover Salmon (haven't seen them since the summer I was 18), Medeski, Martin and Wood and Joe Cocker, but I went to Heather's graduation and graduation dinner instead. It's fine, though, because she's my best friend in this stupid state and now she doessn't even live her anymore :-P. So it was nice to see her one last time :-). Of course, I'll see her at her wedding at the end of this month.

Yesterday was super mellow day, untl Def Leppard anyway. Started with Caitlin Cary, then went to this Afrobeat orchestra (which was surprisingly mellow for being tribal drum beats), then Aimee Mann, Jack Johnson and Ben Harper. Half way through Ben Harper I decided I couldn't take the mellowness, so I wandered over to Everclear. Unfortunately, they sucked. Also unfortunately, Bob Weir and Ratdog were playing at the same time, but I forgot about it. I totally would have gone to see them had I remembered! So when Everclear finished 15 minutes early (the crowd wasn't into them, so they cut right to the hits and got the hell out of dodge), I heard the opening riff to "Sugar Magnolia" and was like 'oh crap, Bob Weir is on!' and ran up there. So I caught one song, but at least it was a good one :-). And you already heard my Def Leppard story :-P

Amanda - I remember your Def Leppard story. In fact, I think I told it to somebody this weekend :-).
