What exactly is wrong with pink purses?

I have to say, I don't disagree, except for the curiousity part. Sure, I'm very curious about the world and how it works, but I don't pry into people's personal lives or political agendas, so I don't typically worry about sticking my nose where it doesn't belong. And as far as purses go - maybe I'm still in the 'student' mindset (which makes sense, since I'm still a student). Generally, I don't carry a purse. It gets in the way of be backpack (student gear) and besides, I have pockets about 95% of the time (gotta wear pants in the lab!). Today I'm dressed up, and have my classic black purse, but I have several others, some classic, some not. I have my biege and black one with people on it, it's big enough to fit my water bottle and weight watchers stuff and is thus ideal for my weekend errand running. I have my biege macrame bag, goes great with sandals and earthy-hippy stuff. But I also have my set of fun bags that I bring with me to clubs and whatnot. I have my bright pink Power Puff girls bag, I have my patent leather black bag with the hologram flowers on it, and a few others that I can't think of right now. I don't think they make me look anything negative when I wear them. In fact, I think they make me look young at heart, and I get lots of compliments on them. Of course, I wouldn't take them with me to a job interview or anything professional. Or to a nice restaurant. They're strictly 'fun' purses. As far as name brands and things with logos, well, I'm poor. I don't make a lot of money. And while my mommy would happily give me any amount of money I need (because she's so damn proud of her baby), I wouldn't ask her for money for designer anything. I can shop at Target and Walmart for the next few years. I'm just not concerned with such things - never have been. Not that I'm judging those who like designer stuff by any means. It was brought up and therefore I thought about it. And who knows, if I was making 50k and sharing rent/utilities payments, I might also own more designer stuff. But living alone on a graduate stipend, well, I have to be careful about what I spend my money on. Which is not to say I'm cheap by any means. I spend money like it's going out of style, I'm just picky about what I can spend it on. I'd rather take vacations, visit my friends and family, and take visiting friends out on the town than shell out the bucks for a Burbury umbrella. Wow... I talk a LOT! :-P
