Oh what a night!

I had a ROCKIN' party this weekend! I decided to throw a wine and cheese party this weekend. Since I hadn't thrown one in the new place yet, I figured it was about time. Maybe 20 people passed through my place - pretty small. But we went through the equivalent of 13 bottles of wine. So I learned a lot more about myself when I'm drunk. Here are some new observations: ~I'm sure that everybody is making fun of me, and I accuse them of it ~I'm sure that everybody wants me, and I accuse them of it ~I like to tell innane secrets. You know, like I'll whisper to people that I'm drunk, or that they're drunk, or other things that aren't actually secret. ~With wine, I don't even realize I'm drunk until I'm pretty far gone. And something usually has to happen to make me crack up. ~When drinking real wine, switching to white zinfandel tastes like switching to water or mildly flavored juice. DANGEROUS! In other news, I did take things a bit too far. At some point after having a cup of coffee and a few glasses of water, my body decided to reject what I had put into it. It was the second time I've ever thrown up from drinking too much. The gross part was that it tasted like white zin coming back up. That didn't happen until really late, when only the after hours crowd was still there. I don't even know if they noticed :-P. But I didn't do anything too crazy. I didn't even sit in anybody's laps or anything like that. The most frisky thing I did was flirt with Heather, which I do sober anyway. Everybody seemed to have a good time. A ton of really funny things happened that I only vaguely remember. Ross described me as the (adjective) red head who's at the Pink Pony every Wednesday night to somebody he was on the phone with (turned out to only be Luis). I don't remember what the adjective was, could have been 'cute', 'hot', or nothing at all. I don't really remember. I also remember Bridget talking really loudly about how cute Ross was. I also remember talking to Eric about sex, which was stange. Dakota attacked Mikey, which is always funny, especially since it's all his fault that she attacks people (or 'hunts humans for sport', if you will). Dakota was really funny, actually, because she spent most of the party hanging out in the bedroom. She wasn't hiding, per se. She was just lounging on the bed, away from the noisy drunk people. So things didn't end until around 5. I only vaguely remember everybody filing out of my place. Luis passed out on my bed for a little while. Jose was going to leave him there! I told him not to :-P. As always, when I drink too much, I called Mike when everything ended. I figured I'd leave him a wacky voicemail and that would be the end of it. But no, he was awake. He says he was up reading, but I suspect he was waiting up for me. So he got to talk to me in my drunken stupor. Not good! I had these horrible hiccups, at which point he told me to eat some honey. It seemed to do the trick. Of course, I didn't really remember that happening until the next morning, when the honey was out and some was spilled on the counter. So I spent yesterday recovering and beginning to clean up. It's really not that bad. I need to remop the kitchen floor, because it's pretty gross, but all in all it's not terrible. Actually, Dakota made the biggest mess when she knocked over the wings plate yesterday morning and got wings on the rug. I was too tired/hung over to really deal with it, so I just picked it up and sprayed the stains with Greased Lightening. I'll slowly clean this week. I'm feeling a bit better today. I started dozing off during the first Simpsons yesterday, but forced myself to stay in the living room until 8:41, because that's whem my Crest white strips would come off. I then climbed into bed and passed out. I woke up a few times, and still had to reset my alarm for 7:30 when it originally went off at 7, but all in all I'm fine today. I am considering going downstairs and having a cup of coffee, though :-P. I figure that if I can get into bed by 10 tonight, I'll be back on track for the rest of the week :-).
